Leavenworth County has a number of outstanding individuals who
provide the crucially important leadership which gives LCDC a competitive
edge. Those who lead in Leavenworth County come from all walks of

The same pioneer work ethic and logic that made Leavenworth (1854)
the first incorporated community in Kansas and that has helped turn
Fort Leavenworth into one of the most important and strategic army
training facilities in the United States still exists today.
